Rock the Block 2026: Community, Connection, and Impact

The Garrett Family Foundation was honored to serve as the title sponsor for this year’s Rock the Block event in Greenwood, IN. More than 1,300 participants raced to raise more than $56,000 to benefit organizations serving youth and families in Johnson County.


Energy, encouragement, and community spirit fueled the event, which included a 5k, 10k and Kids Run. Under picture-perfect skies, the highlight of the morning was watching the youngsters in the Kids Run. Their excitement and enthusiasm made the day even more special.


We were also proud to have dozens of The Garrett Companies employes come out to participate, volunteer, and support the event. It was a great opportunity not only to give back, but also to spread awareness about the work being done through The Garrett Family Foundation and the individuals, families, and organizations we are able to support.


We are grateful to Rock the Block and all that they do to benefit so many incredible organizations throughout our community. Below are just a few of the nonprofits highlighted during the event:


UpLift Johnson County


UpLift Johnson County works to meet needs throughout the community through outreach initiatives, fundraising efforts, and support programs for families, children, seniors, and individuals facing difficult circumstances.


The Alex and Ali Foundation


The Alex and Ali Foundation empowers adults with autism and developmental disabilities by providing opportunities for job training, creativity, and meaningful community involvement.


MPCC IMPACT Center


The IMPACT Center serves hundreds of families each week through food pantries, clothing resources, household essentials, and community support services across Central Indiana.


Joshua Center


Joshua Center provides grief counseling and support services for children, adolescents, and families navigating loss and difficult life circumstances.


Great Harvest Food Pantry


Great Harvest Food Pantry is dedicated to providing access to healthy food while supporting individuals and families experiencing times of need.


Autism Community Connection


Autism Community Connection empowers individuals with autism and their families by creating opportunities for connection, inclusion, life skills development, and community support through programs for teens and young adults.


Beloved Warriors


Beloved Warriors helps individuals build stronger relationships, faith, and personal growth through community-focused programs designed to combat loneliness and support mental health and emotional wellbeing.


We are incredibly thankful to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported Rock the Block. It was a wonderful day celebrating the community while helping make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
